Sorry to have been so long! Redux
EDIT: Yes, yes, I know this was published twice. Curse those Firefox cache errors!
Greetings, the exactly 0 people who read this blog thus far. Sorry to have been away--school and all that other good stuff. Oh, well.
Now they're calling 2003 UB313 "Xena" until they approve a name for it! And--(gasp)--it has a moon! ("Gabrielle," isn't it?) They're named after characters from the TV show Xena (at least until the IAU approves a name). I don't think it's a planet. Neither is Pluto. Hey, 50000 Quaoar has more of a planetary claim than Pluto! At least its orbit is a circle, or nearly so (Pluto's isn't). And, check those plutinos (KBOs with a 2:3 resonance with Neptune, which Pluto shares)! Oh, well, at least the IAU is reconsidering.
Let's update some phrases (bold is the new, regular is the old, hypen is the seperator):
That's the way the hard drive reformats - That's the way the cookie crumbles
Don't cry over evaporated helium - Don't cry over spilled milk
It cost an upper appendage and a lower appendage - It cost an arm and a leg
Attach your eyes to the SMART board - Glue your eyes to the chalkboard (hey, what's wrong with a SMART board?)
Got to go. Returning soon, supposedly.
End of line.
